Cora & Phil’s Wedding: The Boathouse at Rockett’s Landing, Richmond, Virginia
It is a beautiful day for Cora and Phil’s wedding at the Boathouse at Rockett’s Landing.
As I arrive to film Cora’s preparation footage in the heart of Richmond, the excitement is in the air. It is truly a special day for Cora and Phil. Cora’s dress is hanging on her personal hanger. The flower girl’s dress is next to Cora’s dress on a hanger along with the bucket. I’m pretty quick to pick up on Cora’s beautiful wedding theme.
Wait! What?! These beautiful bridesmaids rock the plaid! I love it! We spend some fun time taking the plaid pictures then it’s time for Cora. It is fun to see the reaction of her bridesmaids, Cora is stunning.
We walk across the street to take our bridal pictures. This is the perfect spot full of culture, matching perfectly to Cora’s wedding flavor. Even the wind kicks in to make its presence known. It is a lot of fun hanging out with these ladies. All of them are super excited for Cora.
Well, it is a mad dash to the Boathouse at Rockett’s Landing. Setting up for the ceremony along the James River I noticed the beautiful arbor at the head of the ceremony place. Awesome Elaine, the Boathouse coordinator, checks in on me to make sure I’m good to go.
Upstairs I grab a bit of footage of Phil and his entourage, we get a toast for Phil. Everyone is so excited for this special day.
The Ceremony
The ceremony begins with live acoustic guitar music from Todd. Live music is such a great touch for today’s wedding day at the Boathouse at Rockett’s Landing. Cora is stunning in her dress as she’s escorted down the aisle. The sun is truly shining on Cora and Phil today. The rustic flavor continues with Cora and Phil sealing their vows in a box.
Following the ceremony, I spend some time with the family and friend’s photos. We finish with an intimate time with Cora and Phil, taking full advantage of the local flavor along the James River.
The Reception
Cora and Phil’s wedding is a lot of fun. There is dancing, special toasts, and more dancing. Dinner is amazing, super tasty! The Boathouse staff keep my hydrated with diet coke so I can keep filming this rockin reception. Everywhere I turn, Cora has put her signature on the decorations.
Well, after a lot of dancing and fun, every page must turn. So it is time for the grand exit.
We’d like to express our special thanks to the staff at the Boathouse at Rocket’s Landing! Thanks for everything!
We wish Cora and Phil all the best in their story. We are grateful to share this special day with them.
Sincerely,
Steven and Susan
